Is there free ABA therapy?

Free ABA therapy as a stand-alone program is rare. In Colorado, the closest thing is public coverage. Health First Colorado (Medicaid) covers medically necessary ABA for members under 21, with prior authorization.

If your income is too high, the Children’s Buy-In may let a child under 19 with a qualifying disability join Medicaid, with a monthly premium based on income. CHP+ is another public plan we bill. Early Intervention Colorado serves children under 3, but it is not an ABA program. The CES waiver pays for respite and other supports, and ABA isn’t one of them. We are not a free clinic.
