How much does in-home ABA therapy cost?
In-home ABA therapy costs depend on the number of weekly hours your child is approved for and on your coverage, more than on the setting. Providers bill by time, with one rate for the technician working with your child and a higher rate for the BCBA who plans and supervises.
TRICARE, one public plan, pays at most about $75 an hour for technician time in Colorado in 2026 and $125 an hour for BCBA treatment time. Other insurers and private-pay rates differ. Most Aurora families pay their plan’s share, such as a deductible, copay or coinsurance, not the full rate. Health First Colorado covers medically necessary ABA for members under 21 with prior authorization. We check your benefits for free and tell you your share before the first visit.
